Obey x Hôtel de Ville
When art rises for the planet.

To mark the 10th anniversary of the Paris Agreement adopted at COP21, the City of Paris chose a bold, symbolic gesture: to wrap the historic facade of the Hôtel de Ville with a monumental work by American artist Shepard Fairey, aka Obey. A committed artistic statement delivered by Stratus, a joint venture between JCDecaux and Métropole Atelier, as part of the exhibition "From Paris to Belém: 10 years of global climate action".

A monumental tribute to the Paris Agreement.
The 450 sq m artwork, printed on a PVC-free canvas, combines visual impact with environmental commitment: low carbon footprint, optimised end-of-life processing, exceptional image quality. It perfectly embodies Stratus' ambition: combining technical excellence, responsibility and emotion.

The installation is based on a patented reversible fastening system, with no drilling, designed to preserve the integrity of the Hôtel de Ville facade. The system, largely reused from a previous project, is part of a circular and sustainable approach. As always, the structures were designed and built in Stratus' Paris-region workshops.
